Kotone Uemura (played by Haruno Maeda), a secondary school girl with emotional scars, hears a strange cry that sounds like shouting. Realising it is the voice of Isamu Akutsu (played by Seiyō Uchino), a middle-aged man of unknown background living in the flat next door, Kotone becomes suspicious. One day, Kotone follows Akutsu as he goes out and finds him in the park.
